Fred Johns Park offers approximately 2.5-3kms of walking trails, a playground, non-motorized boat launch, baseball diamonds, frisbee golf and a beautiful lake (Leduc Reservoir) which is stocked with fish each year.
Located on the west side of the QEII overpass, just south of Leduc Common. See our map for location of the walking trails and playground.

Gorgeous, paved trails run the south and east side of the lake:
Benches are located throughout the park for rest:
Beautiful location right in the middle of Leduc:
Boat launch to the lake, though there is no road access to the launch. There is a little island straight north of the launch that you can see in this picture. The trails continue along the west and north side of the lake and are unpaved, packed gravel.
Great playground for the kids, picnic benches and small barbecues are located throughout the playground area.

Telford Lake
A gem in the middle of the City of Leduc, Telford Lake (see it on our map) offers a peaceful yet active location for area residents and guests. Water sports such as kayaking canoeing, and non-motorized boating activities are popular on the lake. Telford Lake has over 3 kilometers of paved trails for you to enjoy. Please see the City of Leduc map of the area.

Boardwalk entrance to the Telford Lake walking paths/trails and lookout onto the lake.
Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the walk paths.
There are several rest areas with benches along the trails.
Enjoy bird watching and other wildlife year round. While we were visiting the lake, the pelicans were putting on a great show, flying low over the water from pier to pier while the Dragon Boat race participants practiced.
The Leduc + District Senior Centre provides programs and activities at Telford House to enhance seniors' life styles include floor curling, bridge, crib, pool, painting classes, stained glass classes, choir, table tennis, computer mentoring and a lunch program. Telford House, which is located on the very west end of the lake, is also used to promote health care issues such as the Telford Day Program, Stroke Recovery, Low Vision Sight Seekers meetings and as a casual drop-in for seniors to meet socially. Please see their website for more information and see our map for the location.
Telford Lake is also home to the Leduc Boat Club which offers many paid programs and rentals for teams or individuals.
